COVID-19 Vaccines Now Available for Children 6 Months and Older

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved the use of COVID-19 vaccines for young children, and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommend that all people over the age of 6 months be vaccinated against COVID-19.

As of June 30, 2022, according to SC DHEC, Richland County was at a high level of community spread for the disease. There are other ways to help protect your family and your community against COVID-19 in addition to vaccination, including:

  • wearing a mask indoors when in public
  • frequent handwashing
  • getting tested if you show any symptoms of the illness.
