For Families
Your child’s first day of school shouldn’t be the beginning of their education. Setting your child up for a successful transition into school and a more independent life begins at home. Through everyday interactions, you can teach your child basic skills that will give them an early start to a successful future.
What We Do
At Richland First Steps, we work directly with parents and children through our childcare and family coaching programs.
Remember: Children develop at their own pace and in their own way. If your child’s development is delayed, you can adapt our resources to meet your child’s individual needs.
Our Programs
Childcare
We offer full-time childcare through an evidence based program called Early Head Start.
Home Visitation
We offer one-on-one home visitation services for families living in Richland County with children from birth to age 5.
HIPPY
The Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY) program is free and available to parents of 4-year-olds in Richland County.
