It’s time to celebrate all things early childhood! The Week of the Young Child is an annual observance first introduced by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) more than 50 years ago to recognize the vital role that child care teachers, home visitors, and parents play in helping prepare children to thrive.

Each weekday during the first week of April, we’ll be sharing ways you can celebrate with the children in your life. Visit our website our see us on social media for these fun daily themes:

MUSIC MONDAY | Get your groove on and make a joyful noise!

TASTY TUESDAY | Try new foods and help children develop healthy eating habits

WORK OUT WEDNESDAY | Build strong bodies and even stronger bonds when you work out with the kids in your life

ARTSY THURSDAY | Creating art expands children’s ability to express themselves and connect with the world around them

FAMILY FRIDAY | Families are children’s first teachers – we want to celebrate the school/family connection and all the beautiful types of families that exist in our community
